My current settings:
Rebound = 0,875 / 1,125 (F/R), Bump = 1,0 / 1,0 (F/R)
Ride height (wheel center to fender) -> F= 355 , R=335
Kw Settings:
Rebound = 1.5 / 2 (F/R), bump = 1 / 1 (F/R)
subaruracerx settings:
Rebound = 5 / 7 (clicks) (F/R) Bump = 1 / 2/6 turn (F/R)
=
Rebound = 0,83 / 1,16 (F/R) Bump = 1 / ????0,33???? - 1,33
NOTE: 6 click = 1 turn
rebound=rebound - TOP
compression=bump - BOTTOM
AREA: Rebound 0-3 turns (18 clicks) - Bump 5x/ ½ ali 2,5 full turns
Track settings (haven't made it there yet... will post when I go)
- source in Germany says to use compression at 0.75 turns. Guessing the above rebound dampening setting or 2 clicks stiffer would be sufficient.

I searched all over the internet for settings of the KW V3's and didn't find much of anything for any type of Subaru. Thought I'd make a contribution after months of playing around with them.
First off, KW USA lists 2 part numbers for the V3's, one is for the coupe and one is for the sedan. The part number for the sedan is the same as an 02+ WRX (which uses a rear progressive spring). The rest of the world uses the part number for the coupe for all GC chassis. Don't bother asking KW USA why... If you have the sedan, buy the coupe kit, comes with 6kg F and 4 kg rear linear springs and helper springs. Most other kits come with 7 kg F and 5 kg R, I had one of those other kits previously. With regards to spring rates, there was not a significant differnce, all in the valving.
The suspension settings I came up with for the street are based on my car's set-up listed below:
17x7 48mm offset 225/45/R17 Toyo T1R
02 WRX sedan rear sway bar
Polyurethane steering rack bushings
-1.5 degrees rear camber
-1.4 degrees F camber (meant to have -1.3 but toe was zero so left it alone)
Front toe = 0
Rear toe = 1 mm in
Ride height (wheel center to fender) -> F=345mm, R=335mm. Wouldn't recommend going below 335mm in the rear.
Coilovers mounted to Group N mounts front and rear. Having run pillowball mounted coilovers for years, I honestly could not tell a significant difference between harshness.
Notes on street settings (references to clicks and turns are from full stiff)
1) Need to run at least 2 or 3 clicks stiffer on dampening in the front, else weight transfer has an odd diving feel in the front.
2) standard settings rebound = 9 F, 12 R, compression = 1 turn (F/R)
- car felt floaty in the front at high speeds.
- ride was harsh
3) Rebound = 7 F, 10 R , compression = 1 turn (F/R)
- stable at high speeds, front still a little loose, over multiple bumps rear was bouncy and unstable.
4) Rebound = 6 F, 9 R , compression = 1 turn (F/R)
- stable at high speeds, over multiple bumps rear still bouncy
5) Rebound = 6 F, 9 R , compression = 1 and 1/6 turn (F/R). There are technically 6 clicks per turn, hard to find them sometimes.
- stable at high speeds, over multiple bumps rear still bouncy
- ride still a bit harsh
6) Rebound = 6 F, 9 R , compression = 1.5 turn (F/R)
- stable at high speeds, over multiple bumps rear still bouncy
- ride is comfortable but compression too soft
7) Rebound = 6 F, 9 R , compression = 1 and 2/6 turn (F/R)
- stable at high speeds, over multiple bumps rear still bouncy
- compression fine, ride harness is balanced
8) Rebound = 6 F, 7 R , compression = 1 and 2/6 turn (F/R)
- stable at high speeds, no longer bouncy over multiple bumps at high speeds, bumps well absorbed
- compression fine, ride harness is balanced
- Weight transfer has odd front end dive on corner entry
9) Rebound = 5 F, 7 R , compression = 1 and 2/6 turn (F/R)
Perfect
NOTE: 6 click = 1 turn
rebound=rebound - TOP
compression=bump - BOTTOM
Some other notes. Higher compression in the front makes understeer. Want oversteer, decrease rear rebound dampening, or increase rear compression.

i set them up pretty much according to kw's directions, maybe one click/turn higher than what the directions say, which is pretty much dead center on turns/clicks. it's a no brainer. i have my cobb rear sway set on soft but plan on experimenting once we get underway (again).
i have yet to make my first adjustment beyond setting them up. it was set up perfectly for limerock as-is.
my ride height after settling is 13 3/4 front - 12 3/4 rear. i bought my v3's from FT (fatih) who the older heads in here will remember was a suspension guru and owned selgp. i relied on him to help set up my suspension, much like i rely on phil grabow for all things tuning. i asked him about my ride height and the proper protocol for tuning them.
Your ride height is alright, but I would prefer 14” F and 13” R. (measured from bottom center of fender to dead center wheel hub) Front camber about -2.7 and your rear (-1.5) is alright.
In terms of shock adjustments, for now, leave the rebound at 1.5 turns out of 3 on all corners. Then, make one compression change at a time. If you have mild oversteer, reduce rear compression. If you have mild understeer, increase front compression. Make changes 2 click at a time initially, once you can feel 2-click change, then do 1 click at time.
there you have it.
