Q: Marcus, you are the only driver of those three who wasn’t actually moved position today. You’ve started the day in a lead and finished with just over 40sec. You must be quite happy…
MG: Yes, it was a good run. Everything was perfect today, the car, the tires as well. On the long one I was a little bit worried before the second run but we came through with no problems.
Q:That was the key today, at the long stage this morning, you doubled your lead. This afternoon again you doubled it. So what was your tactic?
MG: There it was no tactic actually. Ok, a little bit during the second run as I was not pushing very hard and tried to protect my tires. In the end, though, they were no tires left but fortunately without any puncture. I was really happy for that.
Q: Sebastien, you’ve started your day in forth position and finished in second but not all have been plain sailing…
SL: For me this was a normal day but I am not really happy with what we have done. This morning I lost a bit time from Marcus in the first stage, after that it was ok and this afternoon in the second loop of the long stage, I tried different tires and pushed hard, maybe too hard since 10 km before the finish I had a puncture and I had to go very slowly at the end of the stage. The fight was actually over. Now we are fighting with Petter and we’ll do our best tomorrow.
Q: I think that Petter has a thing to say about you finishing second… On the whole, Petter, yes SS14 did cause some problems but for most of the fight you’ve been great.
PS: We were very disappointed after we broke the dumper but we are still here and Subaru team is very happy with the performance and with the fact that we can keep a very good speed and that’s very important for us in the future, so I am happy. But it’s not over yet; we’re going to try tomorrow because…they can still have a puncture…So, we’ll do our best
Q:Let’s go back to Marcus for a moment. Marcus, obviously the plan tomorrow is with the lead to watch the splits and just keep these two boys in check and keep them behind you.
MG: I am not going to push hard tomorrow but we still have to drive fast.

In še vrstni red moštev - Subaru je prehitel Fordov Stobart (Ford tekmuje s 6-imi avtomobili v treh moštvih); BP.Ford se nevarno oddaljuje od Citroena. Če upoštevamo kontantno hitrost Hirvonena in občasne "dobre vikende" Sorda je razlika še očitnejša.

Po prikazanem sodeč, je modrim končno uspelo pošraufat Imprezi, Petter pa je s svojimi vožnjami (do polomljenega amortizerja) dokazal, da mu hitra vožnja ni tuja.
Z nasmeškom na ustih si lahko privoščimo dopust. Bencinski gladiatorji bodo svoje veščine razkazovali od 3.-5. avgusta - na Finskem.
